The Seahawks drafted Heck as the 15th overall pick, and he would go on to spend five seasons with the Seahawks and another five with the Bears and two with the Commanders. During his rookie season he was named to the 1989 NFL All-Rookie Team. Following his NFL career, Heck found success coaching In the NFL, where he currently is the offensive line coach for the Kansas City Chiefs.
