Weaver, drafted by the Detroit Lions in 1970, had an 11-year NFL career, four of which were spent with the Seattle Seahawks. He is one of only six Seahawks to surpass 10,000 punting yards with the club, contributing to 27,897 total yards over his career. Weaver is still tied for the second-most punts in a single game in franchise history with 11. After his career concluded, he was named one of the Top-20 Punters of All-Time by Sporting News in 1988.
