The Seahawks drafted defensive tackle Jarran Reed with the 49th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft out of the University of Alabama. In his third season, Reed registered 10.5 sacks which are the third most by a defensive tackle in franchise history, trailing only Hall of Famers Cortez Kennedy and John Randle. After a season in Kansas City, followed by a season in Green Bay, Reed returned to Seattle and recorded a career-high 54 tackles to go along with seven sacks. He enters the 2024 season as a veteran presence on the defensive line and expects to play a big role in Mike Macdonald’s defense.
