The Seahawks drafted defensive tackle Jarran Reed with the 49^th overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft out of the University of Alabama. In his third season, Reed registered 10.5 sacks which are the third most by a defensive tackle in franchise history, trailing only Hall of Famers Cortez Kennedy and John Randle. After a season in Kansas City, followed by a season in Green Bay, Reed returned to Seattle and recorded a career-high 54 tackles to go along with seven sacks. He enters the 2024 season as a veteran presence on the defensive line and expects to play a big role in Mike Macdonald’s defense.
