A big-play threat every time he touched the ball, Galloway wasted little time showing what he could do with the ball in his hands. On his way to PFWA All-Rookie Team honors, Galloway’s rookie season included an 89-yard punt return touchdown, an 86-yard touchdown run and six receiving touchdowns over 20 yards, including 54 and 59-yard scores. The first-round pick out of Ohio State had 67 catches for 1,039 yards as a rookie, both of which still stand as franchise records for a rookie, and he went on to eclipse 1,000 yards a total of three times in five seasons with the Seahawks. Galloway, whose four punt return touchdowns are a team record, owns the third longest run in team history (86 yards), the fifth-longest reception (81) and the fourth-longest punt return (89 yards). Galloway was then traded to Dallas after the 1999 season for a pair of first-round picks, the first of which the Seahawks used on future Ring of Honor member Shaun Alexander, and the second of which Seattle traded in 2001 as part of a pick swap with the 49ers that the Seahawks used to acquire Koren Robinson, Heath Evans and Dennis Norman.
