A graduate of Seattle’s O’Dea High School, Burleson began his NFL career in Minnesota before signing with the Seahawks as a restricted free agent in 2006. In addition to his production on offense over four seasons in Seattle, Burleson also established himself as one of the best returners in team history, recording a franchise-best 1,288 punt return yards, two of the three longest punt return touchdowns in team history (94 and 90 yards), and in 2007, the most punt return yards in a season in Seahawks history (658).

In retirement, Burleson has become an even bigger star as a television personality, first as an Emmy-winning studio analyst for the NFL Network, and later as the co-host of CBS Mornings.
