Evans was already 11 years into his career before the Seahawks even existed, but after joining Seattle in 1976, he proved to be a valuable veteran presence on a young expansion team. A two-time Pro-Bowler and two-time Super Bowl champion with the Dolphins, Evans helped anchor Seattle’s line in his final three seasons, starting 25 games while serving as a team captain each of those years. Evans was also the team’s first nominee for the NFL Man of the Year award in 1976.
