During his first six seasons in the NFL, Watters was a five-time Pro Bowl selection from 1992 to 1996, spanning his time with the San Francisco 49ers and the Philadelphia Eagles. In March 1998, Seattle made a splash in free agency by signing the standout Philadelphia back. He quickly became a vital part of the team, earning the prestigious Steve Largent Award in 2000 for his leadership and contributions both on and off the field. Watters served as team captain in his final season with the team. He is one of only seven players in franchise history to surpass 4,000 rushing yards, achieving this milestone with fewer than 1,000 rushing attempts, a feat accomplished by only one other Seahawk. His career-high rushing performance came in 1998 when he ran for 178 yards in a win against the Indianapolis Colts.
