Robbie Tobeck signed with Seattle in 2000 after six years in Atlanta, starting as both a center and left guard. In his second season with the Seahawks, Tobeck became the starting center and held that role for 93 consecutive games, including playoff appearances, across his final six seasons in the NFL. Tobeck played on a line with Walter Jones, Steve Hutchinson, Chris Gray and Sean Locklear that helped the Seahawks make their first Super Bowl appearance during the 2005 season. Tobeck earned Pro Bowl honors in 2005 and played in two career Super Bowls, including Super Bowl XL, the first appearance in Seahawks franchise history. He also served as a team captain for two seasons from 2001-02. Tobeck retired following the 2006 season, returning in December of 2007 to raise the 12 Flag ahead of a home game against Baltimore.
Dave Boling of The News Tribune said, “For the Seahawks great line in the mid-2000’s, really worthy of being considered one of the top offensive lineman was center Robbie Tobeck. Robbie was a veteran, he was solid. He was really talented and he also kept that group light… Robbie was really the conductor of that offensive line symphony there.”
