A second-round pick in 1990, taken 31 picks after Hall of Famer Cortez Kennedy, Blackmon got off to a strong start, earning PFWA All-Rookie honors in 1990 along with Kennedy. Blackmon became a full-time starter in his second season, going on to start 91 games over the next six seasons before finishing his career with two seasons in Indianapolis. Blackmon recorded 15 interceptions in his Seahawks career, including a team-leading five in 1995, and he added 477 tackles, six forced fumbles and 6.5 sacks.
