John Schneider raved about Dissly’s blocking skills when the Seahawks drafted him out of the University of Washington in 2018, but the man known as “Uncle Will” showed off plenty of pass-catching ability as well, beginning his rookie season with 156 yards and a pair of touchdowns in his first three-plus games before suffering a season-ending patella tendon injury. Dissly’s injury luck worsened the next year when he tore his Achilles early in the season, but despite those two injuries early in his career, Dissly would be on the field for all 16 games in 2020, and would miss only five games over his final four seasons in Seattle. Dissly, who signed with the Chargers as a free agent in 2024, finished his six-year run in Seattle with 127 catches for 1,421 yards and 13 touchdowns.
